Jaguar XJR Portfolio 2007

JAGUAR XJR PORTFOLIO

Jaguar’s long-standing commitment to creating beautiful, contemporary, fast cars is reinforced once again with the unveiling of the new, special edition 400bhp XJR Portfolio. This supercharged performance saloon continues the evolution of the design cues first seen on the striking Concept Eight show car which starred at the New York International Auto Show in 2004.

The Concept Eight was the first time that Jaguar had shown its new performance styling to the public and the reaction was so positive that many of its key design details, such as the eye-catching polished wheels, side power vents and Satin American Walnut trim, were soon to grace the long-wheelbase XJ Super V8 Portfolio, a special edition XJ produced for the USA and other key European and global markets.

Jaguar Super V8 Portfolio 2006

(from Jaguar Press Release) 'The Super V8 Portfolio takes the Jaguar XJ LWB experience to new heights, reinforcing the contemporary luxury and technology credentials of our flagship sedan while adding even greater exclusivity. It's a car with a real sense of occasion and one that demonstrates perfectly just how capable the XJ is right across the board.'
Joe Greenwell, Chairman and CEO, Jaguar Cars

In April 2004, Jaguar presented the dynamic long wheelbase version of the XJ luxury sedan at the New York International Auto Show. Alongside it, Jaguar also unveiled the XJ LWB-based Concept Eight, a stunning show car which introduced new levels of luxury and several exciting styling cues.

Now, less than 12 months later, driven by the enthusiastic reaction to the show car, Jaguar arrives at the 2005 New York International Auto Show with the Super V8 Portfolio, a 400bhp production car inspired by the Concept Eight design study. Spectacularly defined by its muscular looks, powerful, modern character and unique interior and equipment features, the Super V8 Portfolio is the pinnacle of the Jaguar product range.

Making their world debut at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2006model year Jaguar XK 'Victory' editions celebrate Jaguar's four championship wins in the North American Trans-Am road racing series and add to a successful lineage of special and limited edition XKs introduced since its launch.

Now a familiar sight on the racetracks of North America, the racing version of the XKR coupe has achieved three of four outright Manufacturer's Championship wins in the Trans-Am Series for Jaguar. For the 2004 season, Jaguar claimed its fourth title – second in a row – when the Jaguar R Performance XKR, driven by Paul Gentilozzi, propelled him to his 29th career Trans-Am victory, tying the legendary Mark Donohue's career Trans-Am win record.

Jaguar S-Type 2005

(from Jaguar Press Release) Jaguar’s premium mid-sized sports saloon – the S-TYPE – has further developed. Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2004 and on sale from April, the design has been extensively re-worked and refined to achieve a more athletic, contemporary look, with cleaner, tauter, more muscular lines and subtly modified proportions. The use of lightweight aluminium rather than steel for the bonnet gives improved weight distribution and handling balance. The revised shape also brings tighter panel fits and enhanced performance. Transformed by subtle and sophisticated changes, the S-TYPE retains its highly individual look and remains true to the Jaguar brand.
